Description

Today's Live Stream - The Past using Places and Actions. The target pattern is - Where were you? I was ______ ______. First, Mark will quiz you on what people do at some places around town. For example: People get food there (at a supermarket). Then Mark will read some sentences and you will guess the place. For example: I was looking at magazines (at a book store). After that, we will do a matching activity - place and activity. For example: getting - clinic (getting a checkup at a clinic.) Here are the places and actions that we will practice - book store (look at magazines), clinic (get a checkup), coffee shop (have a meeting), pharmacy (pick up medicine), gas station (fill up a gas tank), shopping mall (talk with friends), supermarket (buy groceries). We will practice these examples and Mark will ask you to make some sentences on your own.

After that we will practice a conversation from Mark's book: 50 Very Short Conversations - http://a.co/d/cGhZybm

The conversation from Mark's book will be this: Have you been working out? Yes, I have. You look very nice. Thank you. Did you get a new haircut? Yes, I did. The pattern is: You look _____. We will also talk about ways to compliment someone. For example - You're a smart cookie. We will use these adjective to compliment people: awesome, smart, helpful, great, the best, thoughtful, magnificent, helpful, beautiful, perfect, bright, special, treasure.

We will talk about some Action Vocabulary: punch, push, scratch, scream, shake and skip.

We will practice these phonic sounds - st, sl, sh, fr

We will also talk about how we are feeling today and some recent polls you took during the week:
Which of these is more difficult to pronounce? - st, sl, sh, fr and How do you keep your stamina? I exercise, I eat healthy food, I drink coffee, All three, and I don't have any stamina.

As always, I will take a picture of the whiteboard so that you can take a closer look after watching the live stream today. Thank you for joining me today.
